here i am.. in my own space.
i have been too accommodating and i just allow work to take up so much of my time.
i wonder if this is even right at all..

my work is fun, but its not easy at all.
been dealing with complaints and people issues..
i talked so much till i lost my voice..

i think im too focused on my work.. and have left other departments of my life untouched and undeveloped.
very bad.

Went for a facial to 'sanitize' my face and get rid of all the germs that has been making my face their home.. it was a great experience and a really short one, compared to the money paid..

i truly appreciate professionalism.
the lady who served me was really knowledgeable, pleasant and pretty.

we all need to be an expert in our own field.

there are only 2 things that will give u trouble:

1. money
2. relationships

i have been intoxicating myself with chick flicks talking about love, men, women.. that sorta thing.. and it has gotten me thinking about things.. it kinda like, rekindled the passion within me to Love and Be Loved!

sounds dumb right. but its good to be dumb at times.
so i will just allow myself to sink into dumbness for a moment.. hehe..

i do believe that there is no such thing as THE Perfect Man in your life. No Perfect Marriage. No Perfect Relationships, although we all wish to achieve that in our lives..
i used to be very idealistic about relationships, and so, im very fearful of the commitments, pain, conflicts that i or we might go through, and so, i don go into any relationships.. no frills!

i guess im more realistic now?
i hope i am..

because im beginning to lose the fear about such things.. because they are all part of the package of 'Love'. It is okay to feel bored with the same person, to lose the excitement after being too familiar with another individual, to eye on other prospects/attracttion, to be distracted, to feel confused if this person is THE right person, and wonder if there is someone out there more suitable.. and entertaining all the 'What If' questions and 'I Wonder' stuffs..

as long as both parties are willing to talk it out and mutually agree to put effort into sorting all these issues out.. things will work out somehow! it does test our creativity.. but, keep trying!

Nothing is easy and nothing is perfect. So when hard things and imperfection comes, its nothing new.. We should be realistic with expectations.. and take time to understand the dynamics of the relationship..

in the end, i think, all i want, is someone whom i can totally connect with (even if, he only connects when he feels like it.. give the guy a break aye?), to rely on and have the security that he will always be there to support and listen to me and be there for me..
even if he has some intolerable irritating behaviors, i guess its 'passable' if he has enough brownie points to make up for it.. ahha..!!

there is a big kid in every big guy.. so just dont try to man those kiddy area..
take things easy eh..

i hate control freaks! haha.
so i shant be one :)

Here i am! Back to my own space.. kinda forgotten about this place, and its been quite some time since im here.. writing..

just got back from the gym and i am really liking it. i have always been at the gym actually, since Poly days in Spore, i have been at California Fitness, going for all the classes. When im back in JB i was with Clark Hatch and Excite Fitness, but wasnt really regular there.

And when im in KL, like now, i joined Fitness First! Wow... am pretty amazed at how much i enjoy going to the gym. Although im eating more than i burn (hehe. guilty confessions), but going to the gym makes me happy.. the sweating experience and seeing hot men and women in their exercising gears seems therapeutic for me :)

I am very regular with Fitness First now, as it is just opposite my work place, like 3mins walk away.. and im really pleased with the facilities, services and instructors there..

When i was younger, i used to think that going to the gym is cool and i go to explore the experience, but i hated exercising then.. had to force myself to go.. when i was in JB and growing fat, i go to the gym to do some crisis control.. before i become all 'rounder'.. it was still somethin i had to force myself to do..

Now that i am slightly older n still putting on weight, it became something that i thoroughly enjoy doing.. i look forward to the sweating sessions and just hanging out at the gym. and i dont have to force myself!

I was just reflecting at the treadmill today, how much i enjoy doing this now..

And all i can say is, good habits really take a long time to develop.. if something you know is good for you, and u dont really enjoy doing it, u just gotta keep going at it.. if ur patient enough, one day, u may just like it! Without your conscious realisation, you just developed a good habit!

Yes! haha.. i need to keep up at this.. a little folding of the hands will make me all lazy again..

it is complicated

somehow, it is indeed therapeautic to just be able to come to this space of mine, and write how i feel about things. i do feel bad that i come here only when i am not very happy with life, or when i do not know how else to express myself.

life can be so complicated that it is complicated OR so simple and still seem so complicated..
humans, especially woman, think too much..

There are so many things that I want to do and accomplish. so many dreams and unheard cries.
I am always listening to people. understanding people. But who actually listens to me?
and so what if they listen to me.. even i cant help myself in certain situations.
therefore, i have kinda given up in saying what really matters to me.

i am just very upset with everything in my life. the word contentment just does not apply to me now. i am edgy nearly everyday.. and i snap at anyone that upsets me.. and for all the smallest reason..

i wish im a little more independent.
and i can prove that i am no longer reliant on my parents.
that they do not need to worry or provide for me anymore.

that i can provide for myself and they would trust me to take care of things.

i miss the days when i was working in singapore.
renting my own room, earning my own money, doing my own part time tuition, signing up for courses that i like, saving money to buy what i want, bringing money home and buying nice things back, planning my own study schedule, entertainment schedule and stuffs like that.

i had the space to make mistakes. to learn how stupid and how smart i am. to discover myself.
to take time to groom myself.

im just very cramped up now..
there is no room for mistake. every mistake is magnified to its finest details.
i work better with encouragement.
negative reinforcements and fear does not work well with me.
i totally hate it.

hate. hate. hate.

its always about everyone, other people and everybody.
accomodating to everyone elses time.. and people are always interrupting my decision making. always giving suggestions and changing my plans. and i am a pushover. so i gave in. and gave in. and gave in.

to the point where im already sick and tired.
and therefore, anything would tick me off.

i know i would be fine in awhile.
but juggling between identities is not a fun thing.

maybe its just a mid 20s thing.
whatever la.

i just don like my life now.

was doing research on my friends wedding script and i stumbled upon this phrase:
"you know you are really in love when you cant sleep at night, because finally, reality is better than dreams.."

hhmm..

i dont really understand what it means.. not to mention agreeing to it.

perhaps i have too many things to do nowadays, and im easily irritated.
i just dont really like it when people keep changing their plans and therefore affect my plan for the day. anyone at all.

it just irritates the hell out of me.

i realised that i dont really like changes very much.
especially when things are pre planned and i have expectations.
if it doesnt deliver, i would just boil.

so dont tell me anything unless you are ready to do it.

im learning how to deal with disappointments.
events, people, work, emotions.

things just dont really turn out the way you expect them to be huh.
continue to read Secret of the Vine.
im learning from it.

im not really targetting at anyone.
so don get offended yeah.

my conclusion.
im not that sure that reality can be better than dreams.

Spent a totally meaningful day with my mom for a good cause @ Grand Paragon.
We supported the Flora Extravaganza With Love Charity High Tea & Floral Exhibition and Show in aid of the JJ Lions Dialysis Centre.

The event was sponsored by Elle Hair Studio, Dawn Wedding and Vera Moda, together with Mudita Floral Friends and Mr. Harijanto (an Indonesian who picked up the Japanese art of floral arrangement).

It was a pretty interesting show with a few floral demonstrations and also witnessing creative creations of bags, hair accessories and props using plants and flowers.

I may pick up floral arrangement for self therapy... when im much older and if i have the extra time for leisure :)

haha. it is very calming to have beautiful flowers everywhere.

there are some people that i just dont want to work with.

i need to blog today.

never have i felt the need to express, yet i can find no one to express to..
i have a few choices.. but i dont really feel like talking.
maybe except to God..

and i am having a headache, which is rare.

frustration is lurking and i am trying to manifest in a very subtle and controlled manner, which is not working very well.

and therefore i am mean and gloomy these days.
if im frowning, try not talking to me and dont cheer me up.

no one sought my opinion when they decided to change the policies.
no one informed me of the possible changes taking place.
no one discussed with me the change in roles n functions in the team.
i am in the position yet have NO SAY in whatever the decision is.

i am only to follow instructions and do things according to your way.
i see the possible problems and crisis and i will be the one shouldering it, yet it is not my decision in the first place to set the policy in place.
and my voice is not heard at all.
whenever i open my mouth, it will spark off an argument and things would get ugly.

why???? i don understand!
i am only stating my thoughts.
i dont want to quarrel.

is there no ground for a proper discussion??

i think it just reflects how terrible the management is.
i am utterly frustrated and angry right now.

how long will i be living in the shadow ...
i would either get too used to it.
or i would just get out of it..

i dont want to listen to any advice right now.
nothing will change.
i will just do what you want me to..

but i do hope that the higher powers will intervene accordingly.

i had my nails done last night and it looks really pretty now.
i did my sauna with eevynn and had a very good japanese lunch @ Ajisai too.
i just have to spoil myself a little because i have been working too hard these days.

i was just thinking about it. i work 6 days a week, the only rest day i have is spent with the TEENz and Saturday night service. the rest of the non working hours are spent thinking about work and planning upcoming events.. and only sometimes, i try not to think about work at all.

and that is why, i feel that i really need to treat myself better.
i deserve it. ha.

am looking for more ways to spoil myself...

SIXTEEN RANDOM "FACTS" ABOUT ME.

I have always liked the smell of petrol and exhaust gas.. When i was younger, i will take a deep breath whenever my dad starts the engine (giving them stupid excuse why i will go in the car later.. after the engine has been started).. hehe.... I've stopped ever since i knew it was bad for my health.. lol
I USED to love chewing on my TOES.. till the age of 6. The skin seems to taste better there.. LOL
My motor skills are kinda underdeveloped. I cant balance / control stuffs properly (except the car). And that is why i never fancied computer games / ball games... i dont really like moving too much and that is due to fact no.4
I was a super inferior and introvert person due to my OVERweighted, OVERobesed and OVERflabby body ever since i was young... im way past that stage (of mind) now.. haaa...
I would like to be a TV Presenter / Host or just EMCEE for selected events. if theres a chance to be professional, i may go into it... depends :)
I do not have a favourite movie, song, artists.. in fact, i would jumble them up sometimes.. and i wonder why my brothers are so good at it
i like guys who's got good height and good skin. fair skin!!! arrghh!!! a lil tan is good too. hehe..
I like Maths, Science, Psychology and reading biographies of successful people / companies.
I like to take adventure and thrilling rides! Trying out new stuffs always excite me..
Except gadgets n all the techy stuffs.. I am like stoneage of the 21st century u know.. only use the basic functions of any good phones, pdas, laptops etc.. some people get really irritated about this... i am trying to change!
I attract girls / females. Somehow. i dont know why.. dont ask me why... haha... it just happens!!! lets see. i studied in a girls school. i work in a fully female environment. most of my customers are females. i lead a female cellgroup. i had more than one female expressing interest in me, i am single.. hhmmm.... wad went wrong.. haahahhahahahaha :P
I unconsciously touch / whack people when i am talking...and it gets more intense when im excited.. haha.. that is a really bad habit. im not 'touchy' or am i intentionally molesting a person, but it just happens.. maybe its my job u know.. always helpin people to ease their muscle aches.. or maybe im too 'warm' .. i dono. i just need to be extremely aware.. sometimes it does send the wrong message to the conservatives..
I am always attracted by the brains than the brawn...
I would like to see myself being more ladylike.. years of wearing shorts under the pinafore with thousand of girls has left me oblivious to my sitting n standing 'style' haha... i should practice wearing more skirt.. haha.. (just kidding)
I want to have my own car.. badly. I am tired of sharing cars and driving our problematic cars although it has served our family well.
I want to continue studying... but i am not too sure what yet.. haha..

i Have been busy busy busy indulging in work these days and have not looked at myself properly at the mirror for quite awhile.

and when i took time to study myself in the mirror....i am seeing the effect of aging! *GASP*

i am extremely determined to start my anti aging campaign very soon.
i don't want to grow old, flabby and wrinkly.. not so soon!!!

Rawa Island - 20mins boat ride from Mersing, Johor.
A fine island with soft sands, clean beach, lots of hammocks and beautiful sceneries.

It is rather pricey, but its definitely worth the money.

The trip was great because we had great company.

a) Star gazing (we caught a few shooting stars)

b) Skinny Dip (except with clothes on.. haaha)

I did this for the very first time. Very liberating experience. haha.

View from the hilltop. It is a wonder what nature can do to a person.

I would say this is a good trip coz we all had good fun, good food, good fellowship and most of all, a good time to do alot of thinking, planning and self reflection. I personally spent quite abit of time on the hammock and handing my life once again into His hands.

We kept taking pictures with the flowers coz my mom loves them and is very proud of them.
I really have to appreciate her for all the effort to doll up the house and make sure everything looks and feel very Chinese New Year.

She does it every year.. without fail.
I guess next year, it would be our turn to help her ease the burden abit :)
And learn to keep the traditions alive.

After celebration in church, we headed for lunch and Jusco to get some groceries and then HOME to prepare our very own Christmas Dinner!!

From the raw materials above...

Into this final edible dish, nicely presented on the dinner table..

And the chefs behind this award winning dish are...

Mr. Alan Pang... mainly in charge of the main dish and wine.

Mr. Philip Pang.. mainly in charge of cooking his OWN steak, making mashed potato and keeping the other chefs entertained and serving guests at the table.

Last, but not least.. ME! mainly in charge of buying the raw materials and preparing the sides like salad, sausages, fruits and decoration.
haha.

Well, dinner was great and heartwarming, but it would have been better if i did not do something stupid to the beef. But i learnt something tho.. at the expense of the rest.. haha.

Anyway, i waited till midnight to open all my Christmas presents...
Thank you everyone for your love and appreciation.

I personally spent quite abit on gifts this year.. it is indeed the season of giving... and receiving

Reunion dinner @ Tao's Restaurant (Paradiz Centre), serving Fusion food.
I must say that i have not experienced such good service for a long time already.
We had a 8 course dinner.

My good ol buddies back in Poly days.
We were a great team.
Somehow, our projects always seem to be better when WE do it together.

have been so busy working.
u know its true they say that time passes by faster once u pass 21.

just some quick update.
after the wedding, i was in KL for training and exam.
had a great time shopping in Time Square with Rachel.. there's a huge variety of clothes and accessories that are way cheaper compared to JB. We shopped from 1-6pm and we only covered 4 floors. man. its crazy. so competitive over there. no wonder they need to slash prices.
anyway, bought some Christmas present for some friends and also family members.

taking LRT and KTMs are definitely much easier than driving in KL.

i would love to make a trip to KL again.. just to shop. hahaha.. and hang around at the cafes you know..

i need to get more dresses.
I have been recycling them to different weddings.. even nic can spot how i pair my dresses with my accessories. haha.

you know, people who show interest in me are always so not my type. haha.

think am getting more sensitive now.
i always develop this allergy at my cheek area every time i travel.

just got back from my cousin's wedding @ kluang.

the last wedding i remember myself getting so tired, busy and involved in was Angela & BF's wedding! man, that's about 10 years ago.

anyway, it was a wonderful experience waking up very early, helping everyone dress up and planning all the mischievous tricks we have up our sleeves to 'torture' the brothers.. ahahaha!!

well, but the highlight was the fact that a cute guy actually wanted to know me.
hahaha! (if not for the fact that Danny Chen actually blogged it, i don't think i would have either. save it for personal sharing u know).. haha

im so gonna share with my cell members (Teenz of coz) about the experience.

oh well, i feel so 'katak bawah tempurung'.. abit lost for words and reaction when his friend approached me. i need to ask Tan Joyce Heng for some advice. she's the expert here.. heeh.

so, me the scary cat gathered all my sisters and went to the table and joined the guys.. they were the brothers we 'tortured' in the morning.. hehe. thank goodness he was not too aggresive or it would have been awkward.

err.. i dont know what to say. this kinda thing gives you some ego boost i suppose..
haha.. so if u see me walkin faster and tossing my hair around more than usual, i suppose its the effect of the booster..hahahah...

Life is unpredictable.
Was it fair for Joseph and Job, both God fearing man to go through so much suffering and challenges in life, while they loved their God?

How will i respond if i am thrown into the pits right now.
Will i still praise and love my God?

TNT Pelangi Cell 'Deepavali' Bonding Session!

Pot Luck @ Wei Cheng's House. We all had to bring our own dish.
A spread of Chinese & Ang Moh food!

I decided to do Bruschetta!

Aaron offered to help and showed us his culinary skills!
haha :P

and the rest came along to help as well, which was rather fun..

and im busy giving orders and snapping pictures.. haha.. nolah, i got do work also ok! :P

Not in picture: Fingerfood;fries, sausages, chicken balls, nuggets & 2 Pints of Baskin Robbins for dessert.

We then moved on to play Monopoly.
I think its the 1st time we were so serious about the game, and actually played from 9+ till 1am!
Goodness, it must have been quite exciting and engaging!

Sin Loong was about to go bankrupt at around 12am!
She landed on Datin Wei Cheng's property and paid rental of $720 TWICE! haha..
and that leaves her with less than $200 (i think) and 3 houses built during her wealthier days.

Wei Cheng was leading in the game after she inherited her fortune from the previous player. haha.

and guess whats the outcome?

the least expected person lost.
muahaha.

At 1am, I, was declared bankrupt and Wei Cheng was declared the Winner, with more than $5k cash on hand and lotsa properties!
lol.

I died at Sin Loong's property. her rental cost a freaking $850 bucks!
I had only half of it.

and Sin Loong had... half of what i had when the game ended.

Hahaa...
Cant believe the twist of fate!

Moral of the story: It is ok to have property and live on rental than to have more cash on hand. LOL. But, my real life experience says otherwise.
i think we can have a debate on this.

And dont count the chickens before they hatch!

Dinner was fabulous! Really laughed our hearts out.. haha.

Started off with yummy chinese dishes @ permas, followed by 6+1 Delightful Scoops of Mango Tango, Rum & Raisin, Oreo & Cookie, Strawberry Cheese, Jamaica Coffee, Macadamia Nut & something Chocolate from Baskin & Robbins.. *SlUrp*

14/10/08 - Chilling out with Yan. Wanted to have Mee Hoon Kueh for dinner but it was closed.
So, we headed for J-Taro's Korean BBQ @ Jalan Maju!
FUAH... the Kimchi Soup is powerful man..
Haven had somethin so authentic for such a long time!

Definitely the highlight of the highlight is THIS CAKE!
There's a long story behind the cake.

Anyway, nothing beats home.
Mom & Dad kissed me.

Felt kinda weird. haha.

We ordered a spread of side orders with lotsa fancy design and tastes!
Well, most of the ordering was done by Joyce, the expert in choosing good food :)

Well, so many chinese cell leaders! haha.. man. Mei Ling's cell prayer group came and supported the event! This is a whole new experience and feel for me. Their presence somehow created some unseen bonding between me and them. Boon Fei & Angela came too.. but they arent in the pic.

Satisfied - Church Day

today was a good day!

went to Giant @10.30am to get my ingredients to prepare my special pasta for my special guests.
i was contemplating if i should cook coz i was doing ministry work till 4am in the morning.
but i think my special guests deserve the best! hehe...

started cooking @11.30am and i manage to get everything done by 1.30pm.. a record im happy with.
i think it tasted pretty okay today. tomato base with lotsa mixed herbs, mushrooms, blackpepper, frankfurts, carrots, onions, garlics, salt and some cream... Alan said it tasted 'not too bad'.. hehe. im actually secretly happy with that comment. HE is so stingy with comments especially when Stella is cooking.. hhmph!~

my guests arrived in their cute little blue pinafores... SO CUTE.. hehe..
i can imagine if i have teenage daughters.. so CUTE...
reminds me of my days when i just arrive home and strip off my pinafore..leaving me cool n comfy in my hideous comfy shorts and shirt.. hahha.. good ol Convent days..

anyway, so Nic & Denise (my special guests) and I had a little bit of girls talk.. im now tempted to have a sleepover at their place.. i will ask them for one soon. HAHA.. self invite..

having them over was very nice for me. i have not felt like this for quite some time you know. the feeling of having many females in the same house.. seeing them do girly things like drying their hair, comb their hair n such. i mean... i usually see boys do that.. coz i only have brothers. having a sister doesnt sound like a bad idea now :)

cell group discussion about Dating, Love and Sex was quite interesting.
im glad they were open enough to talk about it although some were too young to fully comprehend. haha.
their comments varies much depending on their age, exposure and family background.
hope to have more of such discussions in the future!

had my 1st meeting with all the members of the Creative Ministry (CM).
i would say i am very pleased during the meeting and also with the outcome of the meeting.
we were able to hear each others views and passion on CM, their vision, their plans and also how they want to develop their departments. they do have some really cool ideas.

i am very proud of the people involved and am looking forward to work with them.

there will be a lot of work to do, but i suppose it is all for the good and betterment of the church:)

oh. we had good food too!

have been waking up late.

So tomorrow i shall begin my healthy regime of taking fruits and doing my FIR Sauna..
so looking forward to pamper myself..

my pimples are popping up coz i have been very unkind to myself and picking fight with people whom i find irritated with.
haha. so juvenile.
never mind.. shall just let myself go and absorb into the world of 'i dont care'...
feels pretty relieving you know..

but i have moved on..
now im thinking about how to make more $ to settle all the financial commitments, give to church building and mission fund, get my degree, how to make TEENz cellgroup a better place, how to have more fun n deeper frenship with my girls, how to lead Creative Ministry, how to lead LucyBelle Spa, how to land myself with Mr. Right Hot Stuff, hee hee, how to bring up my child (haha.. thats too far right..) erm, whats the next hair style to adopt, what pet to get.. bla bla bla...

after having all those junks.. i am now sooo motivated to move on..
hahaha... funny how things work eh..

ah... no time to design my blog ler..
its getting boring.. yawn...

New Emotions

been thinking alot these days.
feeling quite empty recently.
it is rare that i feel like this.
and when i feel like this, my emotions get the better of me.

there are a few things and people that are very dear to me.
but these days i seem to be losing them.

perhaps i have been too busy with life to care for these little details.

how is it that the friendship that i once had was taken for so lightly and so for granted.
now it seems like a lot of effort is required on my side to make it work.
i wonder if we will ever respond the same way as before.
i use to take for granted that you will always pick up my call, listen to me, talk to me, be there for me, eat with me, laugh with me, do stupid things with me, entertain me .. and much more...

so yeah, guess its me..
must have been too numb to want to do anything more to maintain the friendship..
kinda miss the ol times..

another thing..
i used to be among a certain group of friends whom i did enjoy hanging out with.. and they are always listening to me.. (haha) and i feel i do have certain influence over them (not in a dominating way tho).. and after disappearing for awhile due to my busy schedule, it seems like things has changed.

like they say, out of sight.. out of mind..

so sometimes i feel like this empty person.
who seems to know all these familiar people that i see, and whom i once knew quite well, yet deep inside, i have no idea who they are NOW and its just not connecting you know.

it doesnt happen all the time with all my old friends.
but it happens often enough for a large group of people.

and thus, i am currently frustrated coz im not very well connected.
(like how Nicole gets frustrated when she cant get online... hahha)

so its like you know, the fact that you are losing your friends and influence and relationships with people.
either its me being too busy/ignorant/sensitive/possessive OR it is just them (yeAH!)..
OR.. the most diplomatic conclusion is that.. everyone is evolving, and changing.. so its not easy to keep up with the changes. even i myself am changing ...

we were all young and innocent.. and now we are all too busy learning the ropes in life and busy growing up.. so yeah.. guess its time to let go some stuffs and go build some stuffs..

all in the package of living in your mid twenties :)

hopefully will get a taste of some good ol times soon.
really missed it.

Ladies Makan Night!

it was Ladies Fellowship Night!

the ladies took the initiative to show off their skills in the kitchen.. i was one of the lucky ones who were invited to Wei Cheng & Wei Ting's place to just eat and help to clean up thereafter. lol.
i got no time to cook and prepare lar.

We had baked pasta, vegetarian pasta, awesome Tiramisu and home baked cookies!
Carol's Tiramisu was awesome..

Detox Camp @ Kota Tinggi

Wonder what we do at our Detox Camp?

Basically we are educating the public to be more aware of the toxins that are accumulated in their bodies; stomach, intestines, blood, liver and gall bladder.

Many of them who suffers from gastric, migraine and constipation are usually very much relieved after the camp. We encourage them to continue living and eating healthily and learn to purge toxins through naturology (organic fruits and food).

During these 2 days, we consume quite a fair bit of fruit juices, enzymes and probiotics a.k.a 'friendly bacteria' to help in digestion and cleansing of internal organs.

There are other activities like..

Playing games and funny dance steps,
Exercising by the waterfall... taking in nature's negative ions..

By the next morning, most of us would have purged out Crystalized matters or some more serious cases, gall stones, pre-stones and liver fats that are hidden in different parts of our bodies.

I will only show you ONE of the participants EMERALD Stones.. (green = cholesterol stones formed at the gall bladder / duct). He is 61 years old, and indeed has high blood pressure and cholesterol as well..

Hope it wasn't too disgusting for you.
The stones has been washed with water before it was exhibited for all to see :)

im back from a Detox Camp @ Kota Tinggi Waterfalls!
will post some 'disgusting' pictures of the products of our camp and the activities there.

it was pretty successful, except that i was too tired and thus fell a little ill.

i miss my cell quite a bit too.
was thinking about them but cant really do anything you know.

i cant write very well now as my brothers are distracting me big time.

am at my shop now waiting for my customer to finish her sauna session..

ah. finally having some time on my own to write about my thoughts.

as much as my members would love to read my updates.. i have been dying to write some myself. haha. thank you so much for your support.. *cheerz*

anyway, camp was obviously a blast!
as expected.. it was hardcore 4 days PR ; non stop.

A quick summary to what i think of the camp:-
Day 1 - So proud of me n bros that we were able to wake up EARLY, had Ah Biao wan tan mee, picked Chi Hua & Qingling along the way, yet was able to reach early.. woo hoo.. lunch was pretty yummy. was also the gamemaster for Game Station 'Laugh or Not Laugh" with Yong Thai.

I was super kiasu in my big straw hat, 2 tubes of sunblock, waterbottle, umbrella and towel.. haha..and i realised we have huge coconut trees shading us from the sun.. thats nice. i was so worried i might start burning and peeling.. i would love to get a lil tan, but my skin is too sensitive and over reactive.. so 'puteri lilin' .. haha

It was good seeing how the campers were tortured during game. NYAHHAA.. *evil laugh*

But the best news was... Vic accepted Christ at the camp! New addition to the family! yay!

Day 2 - Had prayer workshop. was a rather dry day, but sermon was good.
started our cell bonding = eating junks during supper and sharing was good.
if im not wrong, it was the night there were face to face confrontations in the cell. ppl admitting their dislike of one another.
i was pretty shocked and din really know how to handle the situation, as honesty can be really painful if not tactful.

It was all for the better. The youth learn how to live tgt, accept and love each other. i felt that the confrontation was the beginning of our unity and bonding. so confrontations are not so bad after all. they made peace and understood each other better. thats good. admire their courage.

Day 3 - Prayer workshop was awesome. presence of God was so real. many youths were delivered and had a good encounter wid God. We were supposed to have Talent Night Performance during supper, but everyone was so tired after deliverance. So we settled for some food and i chatted with Joanne till late at night. i fell asleep on her tho. oops.

Day 4 - So fast! Last day already. Surprise Surprise! We were rewarded for good behavior by the Quarter Masters. Haha.. was sooo thrilled, coz we never won such awards (famous for being noisy, loud and a lil attitude problem during wake up time).. ahah.. so it was a pleasant surprise. Thanks to Abi and Jan's room actually. haha.. Had yummy chicken rice and went back to JB.

All is good.

PR night

Howard commented that i PR-ed the whole of Saturday night..
it wasn't work related PR (public relations), but rather, Spiritual PR.
it is more of being bothered enough to listen to people and getting in touch with their lives.

it was wonderful being able to touch lives in different ways and just being there for the youths, mainly my cell members. i don think any of them should feel guilty of taking up my time and energy, as i find it totally enjoyable and fulfilling to be able to serve their need.

and i am just so glad that they are open enough and willing to share with me their deepest thoughts. i know it takes courage to open up, and i appreciate that. rest assured that your secrets are all safe with me. the last thing a leader would do is to spread your words (unless you get so out of hand that we need to refer you to higher authorities.. haha :P), which i believe it wouldnt happen :)

i do think about my previous members sometimes, but everyone is everywhere.. plus my work schedule.. its a little hard to have a replica of what im doing now.

one day, my brother came up to me and asked me gently...

"so. how much are u making now?
where did all your money go to?"

I wouldnt say that i'm very surprised. but it was a very uncomfortable question for me.
i never really liked the answer anyway.

i guessed the reason he asked was because i don think he spotted any major wardrobe revamp, nor was i carrying fancy phones/bags/shoes. perhaps he did wonder if i will give him any pocket money. or offer to fulfill one of his wish list, or to support him through higher education.

you know what.
i would love to.

so anyway, i answered him.

"oh, you may not see thousands of dollars in my hand now. but whatever im earning makes it possible for ALL OF YOU to continue staying in this house with all fixtures an furnishings, electricity, a working connection and food on the table, and sometimes entertainment.
its also enough to pay my employees and keeps the business going."

i don't know how he feels about the reply.

but my heart sank.
deeply.

i wish i could tell him that i am doing all that's above, plus alot more to offer him and the family.

seriously, i know im not alone in this. many people are going through this as well.
but the reality is so painful for me. perhaps i am not really ready to handle all these, but i don mind the experience. it has to get better. things has to improve.

business is not that bad, i must say, its not that bad.
its pretty OK actually. but expenses are too high.
we make five. we pay five.
we make six. we pay seven (sometimes)
we make seven. we pay five (sometimes)

so. this is life.
im not accepting status quo. but im gonna work hard and trust in my God although its dark days for me and my dad.

i love my shop. i love my work. i love my people. i love my customers.

i just dread paying bills.

* Please note that when i say 'I', im not alone in the business. Its a family thing, but im mainly in charge. So most of the responsibilities lie on me.

Trading Time for Money

most of the people are doing it.
the only difference is, how productive and effective can we be?

you are paid for your time and work.
you can be working and get paid.
you can be at work and appear working and, still get paid.
alot of people are trying to break away from the cycle of a eight to five job.
alot of people are trying to be in a job that they really enjoy.

not everyone is that lucky.

so. i have my own business.
im a business owner.
my job is to maximize revenue/profit with minimum resources/expenditure in the shortest time possible.

like they said, time is moneY!

if i were to use a growth matrix to describe my biz condition right now.
it would either be a Dog or Question Mark (slow and breaking even, cash consuming).
i am spending more than 10 hours at work and thats the result so far.

where are the Cash Cows and Stars?
(the ones that makes lotsa $)

so right now, i am very frustrated because i feel that im chasing after Stars, and im getting Dogs.
and the frustration is eating into my system.
i find it extremely hard to focus and am lacking in vision at the moment.

God,
give me the wisdom to trade for more with less.
i can do alot more with time.

i used to wonder why my mentor loves to go for hairwash so often..

once i hit my mid twenties, i began to understand.

you get headaches more often.
you have more issues in your mind.
you need to think about much more things.

a headwash is just what i needed.

wonderful......

im going to leave my hair a little longer, trim it and go for a highlight.
i am not very pleased with my current cut now.
too thin. lack of style.
very difficult to style even with the help of hair wax, clays, spray etc..

anyway.. mo wonder people loves to come tio my shop for headspa.. :)

and IF you feel that God has answered your prayer, then you write it down and drop in the 'Prayer Fulfilled Box'!

Wow.. thats really practicing faith man.
i like the idea.
most of my members (including me!) dropped in their requests.
we shall see where it goes from here..

Three of my customers did not come for their facial appointment in the afternoon. We blocked off the time just for them and denied other customers of the opportunity to relax @ the spa, which i was pretty upset with,you know; wasted biz opportunity..

Anyway, we released the slot after waiting for half an hour, since they did not answer our calls and sms.

But

GOD is gOOd!

Not long after, we have 4 HOT KOREAN Babes walking into our SPA looking for a place to chill and relax..

The Koreans are very nice, friendly, warm and polite people.. Its good to have customers like that; they are very honest and very generous with their compliments and expression of appreciation towards our services :)

They are all pretty fair ladies, but they chose Whitening Facial after studying our menu for quite awhile.. haha... well, good choice anyway!

We decided to take a photo together after the treatment..
V-neck & U-Neck seems to be their style :)

They really made my day!

Im so blessed to be in Pelangi Cell Group.
We have been fed with healthy but super duper yummy food after cell..
which is around 11pm.. and that is still extremely sinful.

Just that i dont look at them often enough.

either its all at the same time..
or none at all.. hahaa

oh well. work.

somehow. i seem stuck at work.
was just sharing with Victor over coffee that im unevenly developed in my life.

some of my abilities are very well developed, advance and dominating..
eg. my 'art' side: public speaking, presentation, customer service, counseling etc

while the other side of me is really undeveloped and way behind time..
eg. my 'logic' side: remembering details, minute details,administration,management,planning...

gosh.
its driving me crazy.
i cant find the equilibrium between being really good and really bad at the same time.. i think God is good to keep me on my toes and not get high on my capabilities, remembering that i need to depend on Him in my development.

i do get impatient with my growth rate.. and i think i drive my dad nuts sometimes.
but he is really good. very slow and gentle on me.. perhaps i need a lil more pushing. ha.

i do love my job.
i just need to get rid of my bad habits!

Back in Convent JB

haven been writing for weeks.

im back at Convent every Friday morning for their Christian Fellowship session.
its a time where the Christians at school can openly share about Jesus and Christian values, between 7.15am - 8.00am.

i was very glad when Sarah and QingLing asked me if i could share on one of the Fridays and i happily agreed. That's how it all started.. I have no idea where did the energy and passion come from.. it just wells up from within.. somehow, at this present moment, i just know that my ministry is with the youths.

i do not think im a great leader; i only know that i do what my heart tells me to. it has never been this clear before..

its a wonderful opportunity for me to experience 'promptings' and going with the flow.. somehow, there is a melody inside your heart. u just know that you gotta do it.. and its very fulfilling when you actually put your heart and soul into it.

God loves young people.
am looking forward to whats ahead.

my flexibility: 1 (cant reach my toes!!!)
my jumps: 1.5
my memory: 8 (the only one who can remember all the steps.. lol)
my creativity: 5
my coordination: 6
my booty movements: 4 (not too bad after some practices)
my body wave movements: 1 (lol.. its just sooo tough)
most of us need a lot of hardwork to make this look good! haha

dance classes are fun.
will continue my lessons to improve my motor skilss :)

going to read my magazine n off for bed.

will have an early far infrared sauna tmr morning.

First Blog After a Long Time...

i do miss writing.
haven't done any serious writing for quite some time ever since i started working..

i really need to just ramble and get things off my system.
entangle my thoughts through the keyboard..

how do i describe the feeling of :
- feeling hopeful and positive of the future.. YET... so lost at the same time

i am overwhelmed right now at the distance between my weakness and where i am working towards to. My dreams and responsibilities now are just a mirror of my weakness.
the combination of characters that has made ME seems incomplete and very much biased.

am just tired of the many effort put into making a better me... but am still so far away.

how long more do i need to consciously make changes, improvements and await for the day to reap the fruits of my labor.
