Christmas 2008

After celebration in church, we headed for lunch and Jusco to get some groceries and then HOME to prepare our very own Christmas Dinner!!

From the raw materials above...

Into this final edible dish, nicely presented on the dinner table..

And the chefs behind this award winning dish are...

Mr. Alan Pang... mainly in charge of the main dish and wine.

Mr. Philip Pang.. mainly in charge of cooking his OWN steak, making mashed potato and keeping the other chefs entertained and serving guests at the table.

Last, but not least.. ME! mainly in charge of buying the raw materials and preparing the sides like salad, sausages, fruits and decoration.
haha.

Well, dinner was great and heartwarming, but it would have been better if i did not do something stupid to the beef. But i learnt something tho.. at the expense of the rest.. haha.

Anyway, i waited till midnight to open all my Christmas presents...
Thank you everyone for your love and appreciation.

I personally spent quite abit on gifts this year.. it is indeed the season of giving... and receiving
:)

Thank you all for your love.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Random Pictures

Just some random pictures about what has been taking place recently.
Except for the pictures in KL, the rest are here..

Enjoy!

Reunion dinner @ Tao's Restaurant (Paradiz Centre), serving Fusion food.
I must say that i have not experienced such good service for a long time already.
We had a 8 course dinner.

My good ol buddies back in Poly days.
We were a great team.
Somehow, our projects always seem to be better when WE do it together.

From the left: Lynn with all her crazy ideas and the drama queen, me the coordinator and more serious worker, carol the submissive "i will do anything just tell me la" and Joseph our mouthpiece and presenter. He can make all wrong things sound right. A strong believer of If you cant convince them, confuse them!

No wonder we are from BS (Bull Shit) Course. haha..
BS: Business Studies

There were some missing tho. Kenneth and Jessica, and Kelvin.

Cousin and his Taiwanese Wife & me and my parents acting cute.
He is the youngest son and the first to marry.
My childhood buddy cousin... Congrats!

From the left:
3rd Aunt and her daughter Vanessa, My mom and me, Youngest Aunt & her daughter Melody.

The brothers at the wedding.
We dont know them actually. haha. They are my cousins class mate.
But it was fun during the gate breaking ceremony.

This November and December has been extremely hectic.
But fun.

:]

random updates

have been so busy working.
u know its true they say that time passes by faster once u pass 21.

just some quick update.
after the wedding, i was in KL for training and exam.
had a great time shopping in Time Square with Rachel.. there's a huge variety of clothes and accessories that are way cheaper compared to JB. We shopped from 1-6pm and we only covered 4 floors. man. its crazy. so competitive over there. no wonder they need to slash prices.
anyway, bought some Christmas present for some friends and also family members.

taking LRT and KTMs are definitely much easier than driving in KL.

i would love to make a trip to KL again.. just to shop. hahaha.. and hang around at the cafes you know..

*

i need to get more dresses.
I have been recycling them to different weddings.. even nic can spot how i pair my dresses with my accessories. haha.

*

i wonder why i attract all the wrong people.
you know, people who show interest in me are always so not my type. haha.
it makes me wondery whyyyyyyyyyy......
urgh..

*

im having bad skin day.
think am getting more sensitive now.
i always develop this allergy at my cheek area every time i travel.
a bus or train ride to KL would do great harm to me.
and im in the skin line.. and then gotta walk around with this red patch allergy thingy.

boo hoo hoo.....
using my ampoules and mangosteen essence everyday.
hope it will clear soon...

*

i will be emceeing for Christmas Celebration...
excited le..

Checked!

just got back from my cousin's wedding @ kluang.

the last wedding i remember myself getting so tired, busy and involved in was Angela & BF's wedding! man, that's about 10 years ago.

anyway, it was a wonderful experience waking up very early, helping everyone dress up and planning all the mischievous tricks we have up our sleeves to 'torture' the brothers.. ahahaha!!

well, but the highlight was the fact that a cute guy actually wanted to know me.
hahaha! (if not for the fact that Danny Chen actually blogged it, i don't think i would have either. save it for personal sharing u know).. haha

im so gonna share with my cell members (Teenz of coz) about the experience.

oh well, i feel so 'katak bawah tempurung'.. abit lost for words and reaction when his friend approached me. i need to ask Tan Joyce Heng for some advice. she's the expert here.. heeh.

so, me the scary cat gathered all my sisters and went to the table and joined the guys.. they were the brothers we 'tortured' in the morning.. hehe. thank goodness he was not too aggresive or it would have been awkward.

err.. i dont know what to say. this kinda thing gives you some ego boost i suppose..
haha.. so if u see me walkin faster and tossing my hair around more than usual, i suppose its the effect of the booster..hahahah...

it'll wear off soon.
be patient with me. hehehe..

ok. will upload pics later.
see ya!

Christmas is coming! Yay!
Need to get pressies...

Drift...ing

oh yes.
i know its not goodbye or the end.

nonetheless, we are drifting.
for better, for worse? i don't know.

i am just disappointed over the entire issue.
i do not think i am overly possessive, but it just shows me how far i am from the truth i believe in.

i just don't know you anymore.

i wonder how things will be from now on.
not very much the same, i guess.

we shall see.

Good ol' days

From left: Yit Chieh, Ei-leen (my best friend), me, Jessica.
Gathering of the ol' Convent girls at Leen's brothers' wedding.
We are all grown up already...

well... not really.
haha.

Back to our crazy selves again. Buang muka also never mind.. haha..
Although it is so unbecoming of a lady, but it was a great time of fellowship.
Can't blame me for being crazy.. all my friends are like that.

Check Jess out.

In good times & in bad

Life is unpredictable.
Was it fair for Joseph and Job, both God fearing man to go through so much suffering and challenges in life, while they loved their God?

How will i respond if i am thrown into the pits right now.
Will i still praise and love my God?

I am embarrassed to be thanking God only when appearances are auspicious.
The bad things in my life keep turning for my good, only on hindsight..

May as well be pro-active and thank God for everything, good and bad.

God, help me.

Deepavali Gathering

TNT Pelangi Cell 'Deepavali' Bonding Session!

Pot Luck @ Wei Cheng's House. We all had to bring our own dish.
A spread of Chinese & Ang Moh food!

I decided to do Bruschetta!

Aaron offered to help and showed us his culinary skills!
haha :P

and the rest came along to help as well, which was rather fun..

and im busy giving orders and snapping pictures.. haha.. nolah, i got do work also ok! :P

Tadaaa~ our final product!
and also Broccoli Salad from Sin Loong.

Courtesy of other generous cell members.

Chinese food: Fried Dumplings, Yong Tau Hu, Herbal Chicken, Stewed Chicken, Black Vinegar Pigs Trotters, Mixed Vege, Lotus + Pork Rib Soup, Eggs ('Ru Dan')

Not in picture: Fingerfood;fries, sausages, chicken balls, nuggets & 2 Pints of Baskin Robbins for dessert.

We then moved on to play Monopoly.
I think its the 1st time we were so serious about the game, and actually played from 9+ till 1am!
Goodness, it must have been quite exciting and engaging!

Sin Loong was about to go bankrupt at around 12am!
She landed on Datin Wei Cheng's property and paid rental of $720 TWICE! haha..
and that leaves her with less than $200 (i think) and 3 houses built during her wealthier days.

Wei Cheng was leading in the game after she inherited her fortune from the previous player. haha.

and guess whats the outcome?

the least expected person lost.
muahaha.

At 1am, I, was declared bankrupt and Wei Cheng was declared the Winner, with more than $5k cash on hand and lotsa properties!
lol.

I died at Sin Loong's property. her rental cost a freaking $850 bucks!
I had only half of it.

and Sin Loong had... half of what i had when the game ended.

Hahaa...
Cant believe the twist of fate!

Moral of the story: It is ok to have property and live on rental than to have more cash on hand. LOL. But, my real life experience says otherwise.
i think we can have a debate on this.

And dont count the chickens before they hatch!

We had fun.

Cadbury Commercial Song

it was ringing in my head the whole day.. guess i need a chocolate treat.

but i think i am having too much lately.
hahaha...

Cadbury Commercial Song & Lyrics

The title is :: Beach Boys - Wouldn't it be nice ::

Lyrics for Part One
Wouldn't it be nice if the world were Cadbury?
You could surf inside a chocolate tube
Ride your board across the wave forever
Get wiped out and never get a bruise
And if a shark came up and tried to bite you
You could say 'I'm chocolate - I invite you'
Wouldn't it be nice?

Lyrics for Part Two
Wouldn't it be nice if the world were Cadbury?
Chocolate roads and trees and birds and bees
Delivering all kinds of letters daily,
Every kind of purple parcel too.
And if the dog did try and grab a mouthful,
You could bite him back he'd taste delightful!
Wouldn't it be nice?

Lyrics for Part Three
Wouldn't it be nice if the world were Cadbury?
You could be a soccer super star.
The referee would blow his chocolate whistle,
A shot a goal would even break the bar.
And if you scored the winner
You could have the cup for your dinner.
Wouldn't it be nice?

Lyrics for Part Four
Wouldn't it be nice if the world were Cadbury?
Riding in the car would be a tasty treat.
Changing gears would soon become a problem
Cadbury dairy milk is so good to eat
When you arrive at your destination,
You'll be greeted with an exclamation!
Wouldn't it be nice?

Dinner @ Nijumaru

Dinner with Joyce and the Lum brothers was yummy and sinful...
We ordered a spread of side orders with lotsa fancy design and tastes!
Well, most of the ordering was done by Joyce, the expert in choosing good food :)

hee.
Dinner was heartwarming.

(camera ran out of batt at this point in time. failed to capture the sinful scene with table packed with food and 'human' gobbling in action!)

We then proceed to the brothers house to catch the beauty of the full moon using their precious telescope!

(somehow camera came back to life for a split second)

Quite an experience.
Reminds me of the days during Astronomy Camp @ Desaru.
ah, that was ages ago.. hehe..

It was a bright full moon.

Take The Commonly Confused Words Test at HelloQuizzy

Personality Defect Test

Well, i think the way the result is written is a little crude.. somehow.
not to my preference in style... but its quite interesting.

ha. i still enjoy silly tests like this.. hehe..

Your result for The Personality Defect Test...

Hippie

You are the Hippie! Characterized by a strong sense of extroversion, irrationality, gentleness, humility, and a faint scent of marijuana, you no doubt frolic through fields preaching peace and free love! Immediately following that, you then frolic to the hospital with herpes! You are probably either very spiritual or needlessly paranoid about "the man", like most hippies, as a result of your focus on intuition and feelings over cold, brutal logic. You probably enjoy poetry, especially beatnik ultra-liberal crap about how horrible fascism is, even though your suburbanized, sheltered idea of "fascism" is having to pay two dollars per gallon at the gas pump. You are also very, very social. And like any hippie who would have no qualms about hitchiking across the country just to meet some interesting people, you also love to interact with others, even complete strangers

LucyBelle 2nd Anniversary

We just turned 2!!

In conjunction with our anniversary, we launched our new brand, Healken SOHO, and introduced our 100% Pure Organic Vegetable & Fruit Juice.

Priced at only RM15 per bottle, it has received very good response from most of my customers! A very affordable health drink indeed!

Me & my team of beauticians and my bosses
.. hehe... my mom & dad @ the right corner..
Really thank God for bringing us thus far.
Starting a business is not difficult, but keeping it and maintaining it and growing it is definitely a challenge.
May we see many more wonderful years to come!

My beautiful team (from left): Joo Lee, Shirley, Me, Angeline, Emi, Sherry & Miss Lim (absent)
It is my greatest pleasure to be working with this team. Human management is definitely an art. Keeping all the girls motivated and high in morale is never an easy task.
Although we still have a long way to go, but i am proud that we have managed to create an environment of warmth, love, sincerity & peace both internally among the beauticians and also externally, with our customers.

We still have much room for improvement of course :)

Church Guys!
haha... it was really nice to see them here! i mean, rarely do i see them at my spa since it is a female dominated place. but im sure they felt very at home with so many girls hanging around them. hee hee.
am very encouraged by their presence. thanks for coming~
(from left: Titus, Ming Wee, Roy, me, Jeffo & Aaron)

Church Gals!

Well, so many chinese cell leaders! haha.. man. Mei Ling's cell prayer group came and supported the event! This is a whole new experience and feel for me. Their presence somehow created some unseen bonding between me and them. Boon Fei & Angela came too.. but they arent in the pic.
Well, thank you all for coming! :)

Hui Koon approached me about interpreting in Sanctuary. I have always wanted to do that.
Will pray about it. Commitment is very important...

The Seniors

Surprise Visitors: Pastor Kim Tai (Paul) & Wife!
We are so TOUCHED by their presence!
It is funny how they decided to 'drop by' our spa coz he felt prompted to come and see us.
He was uninformed about the celebration!

Even his daugher was surprised @ their presence.

They got me distracted for a split second while i was giving my presentation coz i was like 'HUH? Am i seeing correctly? - Pastor Paul @ my SPA? haha..
It was a blessing to have him around. His words of encouragement was really very... ermmm... encouraging.. haha.. Praise God for this servant of God!

Food

How can a party be a party without food right.. haha..
Ordered Hi-Tea... well, they liked the food!
Especially the Sardin Puff, Tuna+Egg Sandwich, Nyonya Kuehs & Fishballs! ehhehe...

Grand Finale: Prayer~

Pastor Paul prayed for us. I was trying hard not to cry.
Just in case i look horrible with all the mascara smudges.. haha.
But the prayer has made its impact on me. I am so excited to see how God will lead me & our family through this business.

GOd is so good.
And so are my friends in church.

It has been a long time since i felt the L O V E.

Thank you.

* * *

Our busy day has come to an end. We were all very relieved and quickly tidied up the place and get ready to go home & rest!

It was a good day. Lots of areas to improve, but nonetheless good.

* * *

Something seems to be missing tho..

. . . . .

The presence of my brothers, Alan & Philip!!
Guess they had fun @ KL.

Anyway, thank you everyone.
Good nite!
